The laws of similars or "oil dissolves oil" is a notion that similar substances dissolve each other. Oil cleansers work by attracting other oil-based molecules and impurities on the skin like dirt, sweat, excess oil, environmental toxins, SPF and makeup.
When you apply an oil cleanser to your skin it emulsifies with your makeup and other substances, binding everything together. You simply wipe it all off, and the 'good oil' takes those 'bad oils" along with it to reveal clean and succulent skin that doesn't feel stripped or dry.
